We always do that. But we live in a pretty un-dog friendly place. He's not allowed ANYWHERE. He can't even be on the sidewalk outside of school when school is in session. Which...?
We live right by a school and there aren't any signs like that. That is so lame! Dogs are family too! The sign in this pic is b/c no dogs are allowed on the softball field behind the fence, even though it'd be a perfect place to play with your dog because of the fence! :)
There actually isn't a sign at the school. I don't know if the info came home in a packet or something, but it seems all the neighbors know. To me, it makes sense to walk Moe two short blocks to get Ella from school. Kill two birds with one stone. But if I do, I have to CROSS the street and then Ella has to cross to get to me. I was told it's because kids have allergies. Seriously? Someone is that allergic that they're going to have an attack because a dog is on the sidewalk? How do they live in daily life?? Sigh. Stupid rules. He's not allowed at any parks by us either. I suppose it's a good thing he doesn't require (or like!) much exercise. We do have a fenced yard though, which helps immensely.
